The Haystack

This is the october haystack, it works for me but could have been a lot bigger will try and remember to keep the blog updated with how it lasted. Forecast is for wet and windy so not sure if we will finish the rest we have cut but never mind we were not expecting this. Had to choose yesterday between finishing the hay or getting a free trailer load of straw the hay won on the basis that bedding is cheaper than food ... Hopefully ...... subsequently found out there is not a lot of difference, except this has been grown organically.

Ordered chicken house on friday should be with us next week so we can start getting poultry going another poultry market in a week or so. No one local does meat birds so that looks like a good place to start.

Just seen a shooting star first one in a number of years :) too much light in cities to see them :(
